MudRugs 100, our stunning royal purple and silver design, packed full of innovative features promoting comfort and convenience for you and your horse.

Unique to MudRugs, we've engineered a flexible belly cover, fastened inside the rug to prevent water running in, even during the heaviest of rain. We apply the heaviest 100g filling to the largest muscle groups across the topline and sides, then reduce to 70g over the neck. The belly cover has a 50g fill, further reduced to prevent overheating, yet ensuring your horse remains dry and comfortable even during unpredictable weather.
All of our rugs benefit from a durable 1200 denier waterproof and breathable outer material. This, combined with our elasticated poll, signature reflective shoulders and extended tail darts ensures maximum protection for your horse.

Below you'll find the full list of extensive rug features:
  • Choice of 50g belly cover or surcingles - BOTH included
  • Choice of leg straps or fillet string - BOTH included

Sizing

Horse sizes; If your horse wears 6'0+ and is in between rug sizes, we recommend ordering the larger size of the two.

Cob / Pony sizes; These are a generous deep fit and true to size in terms of length.

With a double row of fastenings on both sides of the rug, the belly cover is adjustable to 3 levels - for optimum fit we recommend the elastic to be in light contact with your horses belly.

Rug Care

During regular use we recommend occasionally cleaning the inside of the rug at the chest, withers and along the mane. This is typically where grease builds up on the soft lining, restricting the hair from moving freely underneath. Wiping only with hot water, just once a month and allowing to dry can maintain comfort for your horse and reduce the chance of rubbing or hair loss.

Jet washing, strong detergent and fabric conditioner can damage the rug's waterproofing and breathability. To prolong durability we recommend only a cool wash once a year, or a professional service. MudRugs should be hung to drip dry only.

See my review of the 20g rug

The colour of all 3 rugs I bought are stunning and make it easy to identify which weight rugs I'm handling or my lad is wearing.
My lad is wearing the 20g so other than having a look and feel of the material of this one, which is just as amazing as the lighter rug, I haven't had him wearing it yet. I'm actually excited for the colder weather for a change, as sad as that probably sounds. MudRugs are now the only rugs I will be using. The customer service and MudRug team went out of their way to keep the cost to send to me in Southern Ireland as low as possible too.

Review 100g combo

Love these rugs they fit my big lads without causing mane or rug rubs. Hard wearing in a lovepy colour.

Great rugs

I think these rugs are very good, I have two now. The only thing I would say is compared to another brand I have they seem to come up slightly short in body length. My mare has a huge butt so I’m sure it takes up extra room but the 6ft 6 400g I have is slightly short but the 6ft 9 100g is slightly too long in the neck so it has been over her ears a couple of times.
I will say though she’s always warm and cosy and dry!! I love the belly covers they are a great idea.

As always the best rug’s ever. I’ve been buying mud rugs since the first started and I have every rug apart from the mist heaviest . I love that they have spare if a leg strap goes or you need a new belly cover and the best bit is when you are waiting for a new belly cover they always come with the belly straps so it’s brilliant if you want either or . The neck in the mud rugs has got plenty of room so you don’t get the main rub you can get from other brands . I won’t use any other turn out rug

100g mud rug!

We absolutely love our 1st mud rug! Lenni is a clydesdale x German warmblood standing at 16'3. She is a big solid girly. Th mud rug has given her full coverage of her hind end and the space to stretch her shoulders but the added bonus of the skirt and belly cover is a game changer. Will definitely be purchasing more for the other horses.
